New Bear for Jubilee

New Bear made from Old Mohair

Here’s a new bear I made from old mohair for the GBW Kansas City Teddy Bear Jubilee.  She’s about six inches tall and I have used some techniques and materials I’ve wanted to play with for awhile.  The mohair was from an old chair seat cover and quite worn.  I’ve had it for some time and was glad to make it into a bear at last.  I used linen for the paw pads and distressed them.  I also gave her a sparse nose.  I crocheted her little jacket and the ribbons are vintage rayon.  She is understuffed with excelsior for crunch and pellets for a bit of squish and weight.

She will be available for adoption at the Once Upon a Needle table at Jubilee.
